Defining words as briefly as possible means some of the meaning is lost. Adding questions (with the same words that are already there) using the words in sentences would help. E.G.:
Inept
I am inept at playing the piano.
Put the inept on the table.
Scientists discovered inept in the 19th century.
Inept 101 is in the other lecture hall today.
